The Armstrong 813 Cast Iron Inverted Bucket Steam Trap is the highest-capacity model in the 800 Series, delivering up to 4,400 lb/hr (1,996 kg/hr) for medium-pressure steam systems. Built with a cast iron body rated to 250 psig at 450°F (17 barg at 232°C) with a maximum operating pressure of 250 psig, the 813 handles heavy condensate loads on larger steam mains and process equipment.
The inverted bucket design uses a free-floating stainless steel mechanism with no fixed pivots. The discharge orifice at the top keeps dirt in suspension until purged. A water seal prevents live steam loss while continuous air venting ensures efficient startup.
