The Armstrong 1010 Stainless Steel Inverted Bucket Steam Trap is built from ASTM A240 Grade 304L stainless steel for exceptional corrosion resistance and longevity — typically lasting three to four times longer than conventional traps in identical service. With a maximum allowable pressure of 400 psig at 800°F (28 bar at 427°C) and capacity up to 700 lb/hr (318 kg/hr), the 1010 is the compact choice for high-performance trapping in demanding environments.
Heat-treated stainless steel valves and seats deliver the same proven design, material quality, and workmanship used in Armstrong traps rated for pressures up to 900 psig. The more compact form factor compared to cast iron or carbon steel equivalents makes the 1010 ideal for space-constrained installations on tracer lines, steam mains, and process equipment.
Key Features
- ASTM A240 Grade 304L stainless steel body for superior corrosion resistance
- Lasts 3–4x longer than conventional traps in identical service
- Heat-treated stainless steel valves and seats
- Compact design — smaller than cast iron or carbon steel equivalents
- Free-floating stainless steel inverted bucket mechanism
- Continuous air venting at steam temperature
- Maximum operating pressure of 150 psig (10 bar)
Applications
Ideal for tracer lines, steam mains, and process equipment where corrosion resistance and long service life are critical. The compact stainless steel construction is well-suited for food processing, pharmaceutical, chemical, and other corrosive environments.
