The Armstrong GP-2000 is a high-performance externally piloted, diaphragm-operated pressure reducing valve engineered for steam systems requiring precise downstream pressure control. Built with a rugged ductile iron body, hardened stainless steel working parts, and dual stainless steel diaphragms, the GP-2000 delivers accurate pressure control within ±1% of set point from 5% to 100% of flow.
With a high Cv and 20:1 turndown ratio, the GP-2000 provides stable pressure reduction across a wide range of flow conditions. The valve comes totally assembled and requires no field installation except downstream sensing line and air connection, reducing installation time and complexity.
Key Features
- Accurate control: ±1% of pressure set point from 5% to 100% of flow
- High Cv with 20:1 turndown ratio
- Ductile iron body with hardened stainless steel working parts
- Dual stainless steel diaphragms for reliability
- In-line repairability for easy maintenance
- Single-seated design suitable for dead-end service
- Maximum allowable pressure up to 300 psig (20 bar) at 450°F (232°C)
Applications
Ideal for steam pressure reduction in industrial and institutional facilities where precise, stable downstream pressure is critical. The externally piloted design is especially suited for applications where set-point changes are frequent and access to the valve is difficult. Available with NPT and flanged ANSI 150# connections.
